We completed an Our Care Beyond Yours workshop with staff from the Kingfisher Care Home for an insight into the care we provide beyond theirs.
They covered all aspects of our funeral service: from bringing deceased into our care, specialist equipment, care and preparation of loved ones, embalming, products and services, as well as funeral administration, for example registering the death and whom to inform immediately following a death.
The staff got to see a funeral cortege leave as well, which they all loved.
The aim of this session was to give the care home staff the confidence to answer potential questions that their residents may have about end of life and funeral wishes.
The day was really successful, and everyone found it really informative and enjoyable.
