Darren Persson Funeral Services in North Shields has donated £150 to the local YMCA. The money will pay for the opening of the café for a night and pay for free meals for the local families of North Shields.
Carl Tate, the Funeral Home Manager, volunteered to help serve food on the opening night with Funeral Director Bill Bremner who has offered to dress up as Santa to help out when they are handing out all presents to local families in the grotto.
